About Our Church
A small congregation with a big heart — rooted in Scripture, committed to community, and grateful for God's faithfulness across generations.
Our Story
First Baptist Church Plevna has been a cornerstone of faith in Fallon County for over a century. What began as a small gathering of homesteaders seeking fellowship on the Montana plains has grown into a multigenerational family of believers.
Through drought years and prosperous harvests, through world wars and quiet decades, this congregation has remained steadfast — a place where neighbors become family and faith is passed from one generation to the next.
Today we continue that legacy, welcoming anyone who walks through our doors. Whether you've attended church your whole life or you're exploring faith for the first time, you'll find a warm welcome here in Plevna.
What We Believe
Our faith is grounded in the historic Baptist tradition and the authority of Scripture.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God — our ultimate authority for faith and practice.
Salvation by Grace
We believe salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Baptism
We practice believer's baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Christ.
The Church
We believe the local church is God's primary instrument for making disciples and advancing His kingdom.
Prayer
We believe prayer is essential — a direct line of communication with our Heavenly Father who hears and answers.
Human Dignity
We believe every person is made in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Meet The Pastor
